Digital circuitry part 3

The third part of the textbook discusses the need for coding and the main types of codes used to represent numerical information in computer systems for processing digital information. Encoding of numbers in simple and modified forward, reverse, and complementary binary codes is described. The rules for encoding binary-decimal codes of single-digit numbers with translation from one type of DDC to another are given in separate applications with examples of encoding execution. Rules and examples of arithmetic operations for adding decimal numbers are described. The textbook also covers the logical foundations of digital circuitry and the fundamental concept of logic algebra, basic operations, laws, and identities. The minimization process for constructing a digital information processing logic device, switching functions and methods for switching between them, the basics of synthesis and analysis of digital logic devices, general information about CIMSAND their scope are also considered in detail.
